Our Projects

SHG - Bank Linkage Programme

"Programme focuses on forming and developing SHGs of rural women and linking them to Banks for managing their savings and providing credit support for consumption and/or income generating activities. Program supported by NABARD. 6 Projects successfully undertaken in the villages of Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra districts of Haryana, Mohali district of Punjab and Sirmour District of Himachal Pradesh. Jagriti now has a total SHG strength of 300 SHGs with 3000 plus women attached to these groups."

Village Development Programme

This program of NABARD focuses on adoption of villages in backward regions through preparation of Village Development Plans (VDPs). The objective of Village Development Plan is to develop the selected village in an integrated manner. This would include economic development, infrastructure development and other aspects of human development i.e., education, health, drinking water supply, etc., besides access to credit. For a holistic and integrated development of a village through synergy and convergence, involvement of various agencies such as Government departments, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Banks, and other Peoples’ Organisations and developmental agencies is considered imperative.

Skill Development Trainings

14 trainings have been successfully undertaken by Jagriti NGO in the fields of Recycled Handloom, Candles, Phulkari, Non woven fabric bag making and sanitary pads making, Mobile repairing. These are basically aimed at persons in rural areas looking for wage employment or livelihood opportunities both through group or individual activities. These trainings, also envisage to develop, upgrade or diversify the existing skills of the trainees.


Jagriti has taken up microfinance actvity with the support of funding agencies like Rashtriya Mahila Kosh (RMK), Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, State Bank of India (SBI), BASIX-IGS.

Farmer producer organisations

Two farmer producer organizations have been developed by NGO Jagriti under the support of NABARD Shimla. One FPO has been set up at block paonta and the other has been set up at block Nahan both at district Sirmour, Himachal.

Financial Literacy Camps

30 financial literacy camps have conducted by NGO Jagriti with the support of NABARD . In these camps more than 3000 + villagers were educated about financial inclusion programmes of banks.
